GGanbu Chat lets adults choose people nearby and exchange messages directly over Bluetooth. Optional translation uses the Ollama-compatible endpoint you configure. iOS and Android work together.
Features
No account or central chat server. Core nearby chat is device to device; translation, purchases, and safety reports may use network or platform services.
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) discovers and connects nearby devices directly. Core chats do not pass through a central chat server or require a mobile data plan.
Connect an Ollama-compatible endpoint to translate messages into the recipient's language. The original and translated text are shown together; endpoint availability and privacy practices apply.
iPhone and Android use the same nearby protocol. You choose whom to contact from visible nearby profilesโthere is no random chat matching.
Send an interest heart โ when it's mutual, you become 'GGanbu' (best buddies). Get closer to people you click with.
Send photos as well as text, directly over Bluetooth. Share the moment right away.
Control when you are discoverable, delete local conversations, and block or report abusive users. GGanbu Chat is for adults aged 18 and older.
How it works
Set up a profile, choose when to be visible, and stay in control of each connection.
Create a profile, grant the Bluetooth or Nearby devices permissions needed for direct chat, and choose when to become discoverable.
Discoverable adults in the same space โ a cafรฉ, library, or event โ appear with an approximate proximity based on Bluetooth signal strength.
Select a nearby profile to chat directly. If translation is configured and available, your message can also arrive in the recipient's language.
Supported languages
When a compatible translation endpoint is configured, GGanbu Chat supports translated conversations between these languages.
GGanbu Chat is for adults 18+. Review the in-app community rules, share thoughtfully, and use block or report whenever something feels unsafe.
